Inspired by the symbolism of the Tree of Life, the client requested that the identity incorporate maze or spiral elements to represent the inward journey of personal exploration and growth.
The approachThe identity centers on a circular icon combining two symbolic elements: a leafy Tree of Life and a maze-like root system. The tree represents vitality, growth, and the interconnected nature of the human experience, while the roots transform into a labyrinth, symbolizing the complex and often winding pathways of the inner self.
This relationship between the visible tree and the hidden root structure reflects a key principle of depth therapy — the exploration of unconscious patterns and inner landscapes in order to foster meaningful personal transformation.
Visually, the organic, flowing lines of the tree contrast with the more structured geometry of the maze. This balance introduces a subtle tension within the mark, reflecting the interplay between intuitive growth and intentional self-exploration.
